FAQ

What should I wear?

Dress to impress (suit and tie and cocktail / party dress)

Can I throw rice after the ceremony?

We will probably provide bubbles instead! Rice and other food items are not allowed and physical items must be picked up.

Do I have to specify any food preference when I RSVP?

No, you do not need to specify anything beforehand. At the reception you will be asked to pick between two bavarian specialties, probably a meat dish (most likely pork) or a fish entree. Additional courses, such as salad/soup and desert will also be served. (Yes, you will get wedding cake before dinner and a dessert after dinner.)

If you do have special requests, such as preferring a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free option, etc., please let us know ahead of time so that we can accommodate as best as possible.

Can I rent a car in Germany?

Yes, you can rent a nice German car and take it for a spin on the Autobahn! Just be sure to be aware that driving rules are a bit different between the US and Germany. If you would like to drive a car in Germany, I suggest you review this general comparison, and this one, read into it and drive responsibly. If you are unsure about renting a car, please see the flight page for info on getting from the airport to Munich via public transport. And be sure to sign up for our carpooling, so that we know if you need assistance getting from Munich to Grafenau.
